Scooter finance FAQs

How do I apply for scooter finance?

The easiest and quickest way to apply for scooter finance is by completing our online form here or if you prefer, you can call one of the team to help process your application.

Does the loan come from you?

We’re independent brokers and source the finance on your behalf through our network of the top lenders in the UK. We shop around for the best finance deal so you don’t have to.

How much can I borrow for a scooter?

The amount you can borrow will depend on your personal circumstances and a decision will be based on the information you provide. For guidance, loans start from a minimum of £1,000, with £50,000 being the maximum.

How long does it take to arrange my scooter finance?

Once you’ve submitted the online form, you can expect to hear from us within the hour. One of the team will go through the details with you and also liaise with the lender who has agreed the finance. In many instances, everything can be sorted out in just a few hours, although the timeframe can vary depending on what further documentation or proofs the lender asks for, and how soon you can get these to us. Typically, the entire process takes from two to four days, so you could even be riding your new scooter within the same week as you apply.

How much do you charge for arranging finance?

We do not charge you a fee for arranging your scooter finance, although in some instances, the lender may charge you a fee but this will be made clear at the time and before you agree to proceed. Any fee we do receive will be in the form of a commission from the lender.

How old must I be before I can apply?

You have to be at least 18 before you can be considered for scooter finance.

Do you check my credit score?

Yes, once we have processed your application the lender will do a credit check to assess whether you would qualify for scooter finance according to their loan criteria. To speed up the process and help match you with a suitable lender, we may also perform a pre-check when you submit your online application. Any checks we carry out will not show up in your credit history.

What sort of documentation will I be asked to supply?

The type of documentation you are asked to provide can vary from lender to lender but typically, you’ll be asked to supply at least proof of your present income and proof of your home address. You may also be required to supply a copy of your scooter licence. Any requests for documentation will be discussed with you in greater detail after you submit the online form.

Do I need a scooter licence?

You must have a licence before being able to ride a scooter in the UK and there are certain restrictions that may apply, depending on your age and the engine capacity of the scooter. Please contact us if you need some more advice.
